Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p><\/p>I was able to spend about ten hours last weekend on the greenhouse and potting bench.\u00a0 I can\u2019t remember the last time I was able to carve out that much time for the plants.\u00a0 Every plant got some much-needed attention.\u00a0 Here are some \u201cafter\u201d photos.\n<p><a has gotten really crowded.\u00a0 There will be dozens of bulblets in a month or so, and I\u2019ll peel them off and pot them together in a separate pot or two.\u00a0 I think it will take about three years for me to get blooming size plants from the bulblets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_5745.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" part of the shelf is that I threw away the original <em>Sinningia leuchotircha<\/em> caudex.\u00a0 I had that plant for ten or so years and it had gotten huge, but a few years ago, all the buds died out at the top, and it never recovered.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_5748.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" the\u00a0<em>Streptocarpus\u00a0<\/em>shelf\u2013probably ten different plants, most of them are ten or so years old, but still productive.<\/p>\n<p>Some plants not shown clearly in these photos that I potted on or divided include the hybrid red and white\u00a0<em>Hippeastrum<\/em> that I\u2019ve had for a long time.\u00a0 Not only does it bloom every year,\u00a0 but it sets seeds, and the seedlings have sprung up in pots all over the greenhouse.\u00a0 I must have more than a dozen bulbs of this hybrid now!\u00a0 There were offsets as well as the seedlings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_5736.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4662 size-medium aligncenter\" prolifically seeding around is the <em>Hippeastrelia<\/em>\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0 I potted all of the seedlings in separate pots and in good soil.\u00a0 There are about a dozen pots of these now, too, and I divided the original pot of bulbs, which was very congested!<\/p>\n<p>Other seedlings I potted on are\u00a0<em>Agapanthus praecox\u2013<\/em>I got five seedlings from the plant I grew from seed about seven years ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/IMG_5750.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\"
