After we added the woodland garden and pond over twenty years ago, I gave Leon this plant as an anniversary gift.\u00a0 It has stayed politely in place and blooms beautifully in early spring.\u00a0 The leaves are handsomely variegated, splashed just enough with white to sparkle, but without looking unnatural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do nothing to care for this plant.\u00a0 We water the entire garden a few times in the driest parts of summer and that\u2019s it\u2014but it seems to thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
