surprises!"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p><\/p>I watered the greenhouse today, something I only do once or twice in the winter in order to just keep things ticking over. \u00a0As I was looking around the potting bench, I was shocked to see these:\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/DSC05199-e1454797313302.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-977\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-977 aligncenter\" bulbs that I have forced don\u2019t come back and bloom\u2013and usually I plant them out in the garden to give them a chance to rest and them grow back to blooming size. \u00a0These reticulata iris were forced last year, were soon forgotten and have been in the pot outside ever since. \u00a0These are some of my very favorite plants\u2013amazingly beautiful!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/gardenescapades.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/DSC05198-e1454797343198.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-976\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" following narcissus hybrids were also forced last year. \u00a0These dwarfs are more likely to bloom again, so this wasn\u2019t as much of a surprise, but their vigor is a bit surprising.<\/p>\n<p><a of the chips from the cut trees to the aisles between the raised veggie beds and also cut the sage herb plant way back.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s lots more to do, but I\u2019ll just keep working at it
